The Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program accepts three to four residents per year. The interview date for applicants applying to the 2022-2023 residency class is scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2021. The interview will be virtual.
Completing an audition rotation as a medical student is highly recommended, however, we understand this may not be possible secondary to COVID. We hope to have ZOOM meetings with potential candidates in the near future.

- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Statement
- Medical School transcripts
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) formerly known as the Dean’s Letter
- Three letters of recommendation from supervising physicians
- COMLEX 1 and 2 transcripts and/or USMLE transcripts(Step 1-required, Step 2-preferred)
- All Comlex and USMLE exams must be passed on the first attempt
- We DO accept international graduates
- We are NOT able to sponsor visas this academic year
- Candidates must be within two years of graduation from medical school
- Complete satisfactorily all of their medical school’s requirements culminating in graduation from medical school in good standing
- Provide proof of graduation from medical school
- Provide a valid ECFMG certification (if applicable)
- Be eligible for a training license as a resident physician in the State of Michigan
- Must be able to assume all responsibilities of training by July 1. All appointees must report for orientation the last two weeks in June.
2022 Match and Application review
We accept ERAS applicants only. The deadline to submit an application is October 1, 2021. We will initially release interview invitations on October 19, 2021 for interview offers, followed by rolling offers and will allow 48 hours after an interview invitation for applicants to respond.

Interview day
Two groups of applicants are interviewed with morning and afternoon sessions. You will have five interviews (10-15 minutes each) with faculty, residents and staff.
There is a virtual social hour with current residents for the applicants the evening prior to the interview day.
